This selling of elements is about to drive me crazy. First you haggle a price, then you have to enter the amount you wish to sell which is usually some bizzare amount like 23.19999908 (seriously?). You HAVE to streamline this process. Round off the amounts....make it where you can click on the amount and it automatically places the amount in the little box...something. This process of selling is quite frustrating. At least to me. Anyone else?

hi moon, thanks for the feedback, this is a huge sore point for others (according to my emails believe me) I am addressing it, but the timeline for a revamp is later in the month, while I work on some other more immediate highlighted issues.
Is your vote to do away with haggling and just buy/sell straight, or try as best as possible to work out the issues and streamline it?
For now just enter a whole number like 23, you don't have to entire the entire thing, it will leave the rest in your cargo, but it won't be as bad as typing out the whole thing.

Don't mind haggling for a better price. But the chore of entering the exact amount of any one thing was becoming quite frustrating to me. A more streamlined way of entering amounts needs to be designed to my way of thinking. Or perhaps a "Sell All" button to quickly conclude your transactions. Keep up the good work in carrying on the tradition set by the folks that brought us Starflight, lo those many years ago.

Trying my best, haven't got wide spread feedback on negative things, so improving as I can.

I have another suggestion in regards to buying and selling.
Can you make it so you can see whether the price is a good price or not to buy and/or sell at?
(I've only played this game a short time, so maybe something like this exists later in the game I don't know, like with some kind of economy device or something)
Anyways for example say you saw Food was available for purchase for $533 a unit. How do you know if that's a good price to buy at?
Well what if there was a system in place that did one or both of several things. For example color-coding; if the number is green, it's a low price, if it's red it's a high price. Then you'd know you can buy Food at a green price and find somewhere to sell it at a red price.
Alternatively if you don't want to color code you can have a seperate word/display on the side that says if the price is low, medium, high, etc.
This feedback is based on other games that focus on trade such as Space Rangers, which does it really well.
Like I said I haven't gotten that familiar with the trade in your game, at all actually. This is based on the first glance at the trade screen.
Thanks.
(BTW remember me from Desura haha?)

Yes I remember you. Good feedback. The prices do fluctuate. When you get a jump drive, you can jump to stations and trade. But sounds good to be able to look up prices throughout the sector, even though it also sounds like it would make it easy to find trade routes. You know how the coordinate system works right? You can see where you are on the top of the screen.

1.0.7.7 is out now with all of those fixes and a sell all command and no more floating points. All feedback has been smooth sailing!

The best trade system I have seen in a game is smugglers its simple, dynamic and never 100%, due to space travel ,encounter and other elements. Its very rare I have ever got a 400% mark up. Usually I see the great price I can sell it for. Then set course and I am off. I never end up with the full price due to the markets and other ships trading. Sometime I feel pirate bases should affect economy due to the surrounding effect on traders. I haven't had a chance to check out trading yet.; I will this week.

Hmm I have really started to like the trade system I enjoy pushing the deal for maximum value. A few time I pushed the dealer so far I just wish they had kicked me out. Overall I haven't meet any aliens apart from bears who think they are parents. I am still having problems with crashes. I skipped the tutorial in the end because the controls kept swapping from my ship to the tutorial screen. A lot of the time I thought the controls where unresponsive when really they where locked on the tutorial menu. I will play more to see if I can meet some aliens. I just need get through some crash to desktop it happens a lot. More so in the tutorial.
